Role Overview:

We are recruiting a Compliance Officer for a well-established financial services firm with offices across the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance, particularly in areas of KYC, AML, and FCA regulations. This position offers hybrid working flexibility and excellent professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls across the organization

  • Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks on new and existing clients

  • Monitor transactions and customer activity to identify suspicious patterns or potential compliance breaches

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the FCA and other relevant authorities

  • Conduct compliance training for staff members to ensure awareness of regulatory requirements

  • Perform regular compliance audits and risk assessments

  • Investigate potential compliance incidents and coordinate remediation activities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations

  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during reviews and inspections

  • Support the Head of Compliance in developing the compliance framework

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a compliance role within financial services

  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, KYC/AML requirements, and UK financial services legislation

  • Professional qualification such as ICA Diploma in Compliance or equivalent (or working towards)

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate requirements clearly

  • Proficiency in compliance management systems and Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Professional, ethical approach with high standards of integrity

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
